Terms of Service

1. Who we are and acceptance of these Terms

Mnezo (mnezo.com) is an online platform for learning Brazilian Portuguese, operated by GhTeam, a company registered in Brazil:

By creating an account or using Mnezo you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Contact: support@mnezo.com.

2. The service

Mnezo provides tools for learning Brazilian Portuguese: a mnemonic vocabulary trainer with spaced repetition, grammar theory and drills, reading and listening practice, writing practice with AI-generated feedback, and exam preparation materials, including Celpe-Bras-style practice tasks. Features may evolve: we may add, change or retire parts of the service as we improve it.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Mnezo.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping access to your sign-in method (email, Google, Apple, Telegram) secure.
  • One account is for one person; please don't share accounts.

4. Free trial, subscriptions and payments

  • Paid plans start with a free trial as indicated at checkout. No card is required to create an account.
  • Subscriptions (monthly or yearly) are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then.
  • Prices may change; we will notify you in advance and a change never applies retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

5. Refunds

If you are a consumer in Brazil, you may withdraw from a purchase made online within 7 days (art. 49 of the Código de Defesa do Consumidor) and receive a full refund. Regardless of where you live, if something went wrong — write to support@mnezo.com; we handle refund requests in good faith and in accordance with applicable consumer-protection law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose;
  • scrape, bulk-download or redistribute our content (word catalogs, mnemonics, audio, images, texts, exercises);
  • probe, disrupt or circumvent the service's security or access controls, or resell access to it;
  • abuse rate-limited features (such as AI review) with automated traffic.

7. Content and intellectual property

All learning content and software of Mnezo belong to GhTeam or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use them within the service while your access lasts. Texts you write remain yours; you grant us a licence to store and process them to provide the service, including AI review (see the Privacy Policy).

Materials that display a separate licence remain governed by that licence. The restrictions in sections 6 and 7 do not limit the rights that licence grants you to use or share those materials. Follow the attribution and other conditions linked beside the material.

8. AI features

Feedback, scores and band estimates produced by AI (including Celpe-Bras-style estimates) are automated educational aids. They may contain errors and are not official examination results, certification, or professional advice, and do not guarantee any outcome on a real exam.

9. Availability and disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer-protection law grants you and that cannot be waived by contract.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GhTeam's aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. This clause does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using Mnezo and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first. Your learning content purchases and rights under consumer law survive as required by law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The current version is always at mnezo.com/terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email and apply prospectively.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes are subject to the courts of Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil — except that if you are a consumer, you keep any right granted by mandatory law to bring claims in the courts of your own domicile.
